This Privacy Policy explains how HangarX (“HangarX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the HangarX mobile application and related services.
1. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, HangarX may process the following categories of information:
- Account information: identifiers provided through Sign in with Apple, including the Apple-linked account identifier and, when made available by Apple, your name and email address.
- Profile information: name, username, country, and profile photo that you choose to add.
- App activity and learning data: information necessary to provide training features, such as module or exam progress, results, achievements, preferences, and related in-app state where those features are enabled.
- Technical information: limited diagnostic or device-related information that may be processed by Apple, Supabase, Expo, or other infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the service.
- Support communications: information you voluntarily provide when you contact us.
2. Sign in with Apple
HangarX supports Sign in with Apple. Apple may provide a unique account identifier and, on initial authorization, may provide your name and email address. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, HangarX may receive an Apple private relay email address instead of your personal email address.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and restore your HangarX account;
- synchronize your profile across supported devices;
- provide learning, examination, progress, achievement, and personalization features;
- store and display your chosen profile photo;
- protect account security and prevent misuse;
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- maintain and improve reliability and performance; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Cloud storage and service providers
HangarX uses third-party infrastructure to provide certain functions. Account and profile information may be stored using Supabase services, including database, authentication, and storage services. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple. App delivery and related platform services may be provided by Apple and Expo.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.
5. Profile photos
If you choose to upload a profile photo, the app may crop, resize, or compress the image before upload. The processed profile image may be stored in cloud storage so it can be restored on another supported device when you sign in to the same account. When you replace a profile photo, HangarX may remove the previous stored image after the replacement is successfully saved.
6. Data retention
We retain account and profile information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the service, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is processed.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. These measures may include authenticated access, database row-level access controls, restricted storage paths, and encrypted network connections. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. You may also update certain profile information directly inside HangarX.

9. Children
HangarX is intended for aviation training users and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
